Australasian May SOTM Celebrate with Cake Blog Hop

Simply read through this post and click on the link to the next blog at the end of it.  Keep reading and ‘hopping’ until you find yourself back where you started from.  Each blog will showcase a project featuring the Celebrate with Cake (S1605) stamp set which is May's Stamp of the Month.   This is such a versatile set.  You can stamp on coloured papers in black ink or stamp on white cardstock and colour in.  The images work with Shin Hans, Watercolour Pencils and Watercolour Paints.  We all have photos of high teas, weddings, birthdays and anniversaries that will look fab with this set of stamps.  Cards for all those celebrations will also be a breeze.  Enjoy the hop for some inspiration. So where is the cake????  You know I always try to look past the obvious with a new stamp set!  This page is nothing to do with a birthday or wedding.  It's me making goodies to give to my ladies at Duchess Retreat last year.  I love any stamps that have a textural element so this little square caught my eye. Choose 7 ink colours and stamp the frame on an 11 3/4" square of White Daisy cardstock.  Add a 9" Crystal Blue square for the photo mount and use Silver Foil Tape (Z3130) as a highlight.  Mount it all on Hollyhock Cardstock. Tip:  If you want to make a matching page for the other side of the layout cut a 9" square from the centre of the Crystal Blue and Hollyhock.  Then alternate the colours on the second page. Add bling to match the ink colours. The banner from the stamp set makes a perfect mini journal box.
