S1708 School Year Australasian Stamp of the Month Blog Hop
Welcome to the August Stamp of the Month Australasian Blog Hop. This is a circular hop. If you arrived from Nell's Blog, you are in the right place. Simply read through this post and click on the link to the next blog at the end of it. Keep reading and hopping until you find yourself back where you started from. Each blog will showcase a project featuring the School Year (S1708) stamp set which is August's Stamp of the Month.
Aren't these school themed images fabulous? You could use the Back to School next to the annual class photo helping your album to flow from year to year. I know lots of you take first day of school snaps but how fun would it be to also include a last day of school photo alongside it to show how your child has changed over the year?
Now before you say, "I don't have any school photos to scrapbook", take a close look at this set. Half the images are generic - a great frame, speech bubble and arrow to go on any layout. The pencil and hearts lend themselves to lots of themes too.
My layout today has nothing to do with school. It is a tribute layout. A tribute layout is all about celebrating your relationship with someone. It's a chance to record what you love about them and to document some treasured memories. I am starting to add these layouts to my Book of Me album as a way to record those people who have meant a lot to me over the years.
I've used the frame and pencil from our Stamp of the Month. The frames become journal boxes on this layout. The text in the frames are prompts you could use. The sentiment and cute little monkey come from our brand new Operation Smile Fundraising stamp set, Punny Pals (D1751). Prickly Pear's bright paper colours were just what I needed for the fun loving lady this layout will honour.
Use a Post It note to create a mask so you can stamp segments of the monkey within frames. I like the ones with adhesive all over the back - no ink bleeds near the cut edges.
It is easiest to do all your stamping and colouring on larger sheets of cardstock and fussy cut at the end. This is one of our new cardstock colours, Almond. I coloured with Shin Han Markers - so quick and vibrant. A couple of arrows pointing to the main photo draw reader's eye.
The multi-choice box title is easily covered with a small piece of paper to change the theme from school to something new.
You will find a list of the products used on the layout at the end of this post.
School Year (S1708) is only available during August, 2017. Full retail price is $27 but you can have this gorgeous set for just $7.50 when accompanied by a $75 order. Place your order with your Close To My Heart Consultant.
Did you like this layout? Can you think of a few friends you'd like to honour with a tribute page in your album? I’d love you to leave a comment for me before you click on the underlined link and move on to Colleen's Blog, Colsies Scrappy Fusions, to see the project she has designed for you.
Happy Scrappin’
