It’s the first of June.  That means it’s time for another Australasian Stamp of the Month Blog Hop.  If you arrived here from Patricia’s blog you are in the right spot.  If you happened upon us accidently, WELCOME to the hop.  Once you’ve checked out my post you can click on the link at the bottom to the next blog on the tour.  Eventually you’ll end up back here.  Enjoy!

I have been hanging out for June to come around so we can play with this gorgeous set of stamps.  It has something for everybody. Photos of fireworks, super heroes, theatre productions, movie nights and Australia Day will all work with this stamp set.  Today I've used it on a birthday party page.

Tracey

Begin by cutting LOTS of Cricut shapes in 3 colours.  I love that the stamp carrier sheet tells me which Cricut cartridge to use and what size to cut my shapes at.  Art Philosophy (Z1686) is the one you want for this set. Next have some fun stamping the shapes - use the stamps that correspond to the shapes but also some of the other ones fit nicely too and add variety.

Whisper cardstock is the base sheet with Silver Shimmer Trim (Z1799) added around all 4 edges.  Centre a 10" x 10" piece of Black cardstock on this and fill the space between the black and the shimmer with all your lovely pre-stamped shapes.

Bitty Sparkles (Z1263) add a nice bit of glitz to the design.  The easiest way to apply these tiny sparkles is using the tip of the Piercing tool (Z114).  It slides under the sparkle and grabs onto the adhesive and then you can move it to your page.

The journal box was created from a 4" x 6" piece of card.  Random stamp the large firework stamp in a light colour and then add the Party title in a strong colour over the top.  The little stars are a single stamp repeated in a row.

It looks like all this work was for just one photo on the page but the fabulously versatile Flip Flaps (Z4114) mean it actually has 5 photos on it - one photo is adhered to the page and then 2 of the 4" x 6" Flip Flaps hold another 4 photos.  I can't show you these... what happens at Karaoke stays at Karaoke!

The Kaboom Stamp of the Month is only available during the month of June.  Full retail price is $24 (S1406) but why pay that much when you can get it for just $5 with a $75 order.  PLUS... this month you can double dip and purchase one of six collections valued between $65 and $85 for just $30 as Close To My Heart celebrates it's 30th anniversary.  Check your consultant's website for more details.

Thanks for stopping by on this hop.  I'd love you to leave a comment before you head over to Savannah's blog.

Happy Scrappin'

Like that border! Clever to use the Cricut shapes for the other stamps in the set.
