I’m on the home stretch completing 2014’s family album! This layout was quick and easy. Each year a group of friends gather to bake for Christmas. In recent years some of our daughters have been joining us which makes it twice the fun. This layout is a celebration of 2014’s delicious creations.
PML cards make journaling so easy
I used Yuletide Carol papers (X7187B) for my background and Ruby Cardstock (X5927) for the photo mounts. The accents and journaling cards came from the A La Carte Pear & Partridge PML Kit (Z3064).
I love Flip Flaps! Belonging to a family who believe 6 photos are better than 1, I always have such a dilemma culling photos for my scrapbook layouts. Since discovering Flip Flaps my task has been made so much easier.
The Artbooking cartridge gives a WOW factor to your pages
This was a magical day out with https://www.rockinghamwildencounters.com.au/ where we saw dozens of wild dolphins and snorkelled amongst them. I wanted my page to feature as many photos as possible so I designed a layout that would accommodate 4″ x 12″ Flip Flaps on either side and printed most of the photos as 3″ x 4″. The flip flaps come with adhesive already in place and you can stick it to a base page or the outside of a protector. I would advise using the CTMH protectors as they are strong enough to cope with the extra weight.
Memory Protectors™ Flip Flaps™ 12″ Assortment ( Z1325) allow you to slide your photos or journaling into the pocket, attach with the adhesive strip, and you’re done! It’s a fun interactive element for your pages. 8 protectors in the pack: 4 – 6″ x 12″, 2 – 4″ x 12″, and 2 – 8″ x 12″, each with strong adhesive attachment strip. Click here to order.
Here is the page with a 4″ flip flap on each side.
The decorative elements in the centre of the layout were created using the CTMH Artbooking Cricut Cartridge. The Sorbet sunray is an overlay found on p52 (Overlay Shift 9.5″). I used the cut overlay on the LH page and the cut outs on the RH page.
The photo mats were from p 67. I ‘modified’ them a little with my scissors to fit my 6″ x 4″ photos. Look closely at the photo below and you can see where I cut and overlapped.
Those lovely waves are also on p 67. I used different shades of blue and a bit of White Daisy daubing to give the effect of waves.
I hope you like this fun layout. Remember, you are welcome to use my Cricut anytime you attend a workshop. CTMH consultants also have the opportunity to purchase a Cricut Explore Bundle which includes $120 of bonus product. Find out more about joining our team by clicking here.

One of the things I love about being a leader with Close To My Heart is sharing in the journeys of consultants in my team. This page brings back lovely memories of a fun filled day in a wheatbelt town creating with 3 Dazzlers (my team is know as the Dazzling Duchesses) and some of their customers. Mike was my travel buddy and he spent the day editing our photos rather than page making.
I love using the Reflections How To Book to plan my pages
The room was filled with laughter as each lady created a cute card and a page layout. I enjoyed meeting new ladies and re-connecting with others. It makes me feel part of the community these ladies belong to.
This quick and easy layout was copied from 6C in the Reflections How To Book. Reflections is my go to reference whenever my creative juices aren’t flowing. I loved the clean lines of this layout. I used Chalk It Up papers.
Welcome to the April Australasian Stamp of the Month Blog Hop. If you have arrived here from Maz’s Blog , Inky Fingers you are in the right place. This is a circular hop, click through to the blog mentioned at the end of each post and you will find yourself back here. There’s a lot of inspiration and creativity shared in the cards, pages and projects created by 14 of my sister consultants using Typed Noted, Stamp of the Month (S1504). Enjoy!
This Layout is inspired by page 16 of CTMH’s ‘Cherish’ How To Book (9038)
My passion is scrapbook pages and this gorgeous stamp reminded my of typing classes at school. I don’t have photos of me at a typewriter and I couldn’t find anything I had actually typed at the time so my photos are ‘representative’ rather than actual. This page forms part of my “Book of Me” album. It’s a project I’ve been adding to for years. The first volume has the basics of my birth, family, early childhood and school but the second volume is filled with random pages like this. I like to think of them as snapshots of my past.
I love the freedom that comes with making random pages. It doesn’t matter that the events referred to are not in chronological order. The aim is to share insight into my experiences, my passions and the people who have influenced and shaped me. Something I hope my children and grandchildren will read and feel connected to in some way.
I had a lot of fun making this page and memories of typing class came flooding back. The OCD part of me LOVED speed & accuracy tests and the drills. I downloaded a font called Moms Typewriter to my computer. I found it on http://www.1001freefonts.com. Next I made up a full A4 page of typing drills like mum’s book used to teach. I printed this on to White Daisy cardstock and used it as my accent paper on the layout. I also typed my journaling in this font.
I stamped the typewriter 3 times onto White Daisy cardstock and once onto Lagoon cardstock. Each image was fussy cut as follows:
- Lagoon cut just outside the stamped image;
- White Daisy 1 – cut full image
- White Daisy 2 – cut typewriter but not paper
- White Daisy 3 – cut top section of typewriter only
Then I layered with Thin 3-D Foam Tape (Z2060) before adding it to my layout. A few Aqua Dots (Z1853) finished the page off.
Typed Note (S1504) is only available during April, 2015. Full retail price is $27 but you can have this gorgeous set for just $5 when accompanied by a $75 order. Place your order with your CTMH Consultant.
I’d love you to leave a comment for me before you move on to Wendy’s Blog, Expressions of the Heart, to see what she has designed for you.
