Welcome to the February Stamp of the Month Australasian Blog Hop. This is a circular hop. If you arrived from Vandra’s Blog you are in the right place. Simply read through this post and click on the link to the next blog at the end of it. Keep reading and ‘hopping’ until you find yourself back where you started from. Each blog will showcase a project featuring the Balloon Animals (S1602) stamp set which is February’s Stamp of the Month.
These little cuties are so much fun to play with. As always, don’t limit yourself to the obvious theme of the sentiments. Any photos with kids ‘horsing around’, babies, celebrations, zoo visits or pets will look fab with these stamps. My layout today uses the dog stamp ‘cos our fur baby looks just like it! Whilst the photos on this page aren’t in any way fabulous, they make me happy because my family is rarely all together these days and my love cup is full when they are.
The papers used for the clouds, waves and photo outline (which are zip strips) come from the Regatta collection and the base page is from the Charlotte collection. My tearing ruler got a dust off and a bit of a work out for the waves and the clouds. The journal tag is from the PML sheet in the Regatta collection.
I stamped the playful pups onto Champagne cardstock using Daisy White ink and then heat embossed with white powder. A happy accident is the fact the embossing was not smooth and so the pup’s fur looks just like our dog’s curls! Once I’d fussy cut the dogs it was fun to let them play in the waves.
I altered one of the sentiments from this set to create the title.
Balloon Animals(S1602) is only available during February, 2016. Full retail price is $27 but you can have this gorgeous set for just $7.50 when accompanied by a $75 order. Place your order with your CTMH Consultant.

The embossed doggies are adorable!
Love your happy accident:)
Me too! Isn’t it amazing how many times unplanned things improve our work?
This layout is just what I need for our recent Christmas holiday. Love everything about it.
That makes me so happy! Enjoy making the page.
I love you page SO SO much!! Your doggy is perfect, which fits your doggy. I love how he looks mottled from your embossing. The paper with the birdies is perfect, the waves swell with the ripped paper is perfect.
Awwww, thanks Vandra. That is very sweet of you to say.
What a great layout, love how it all came together
Thanks Maz, It was fun to do.
Super cute layout, love the doggies running in the surf.
Thanks Doris. I was happy with that bit too. I also picture monkeys in a forest and horses in a field
A gorgeous page that mixes it up Shaunna, showing how many of our different papers, stamps and tools can work together beautifully to create fabulous page layouts! Thank you so much for sharing. 🙂
I love the way everything works together.
Adorable and a good way to use the dog stamp in a different way. Love.
Thanks Miranda, I can’t wait to go to the zoo now and get photos of some of the other animals so I can use these stamps!
I absolutely love those ripped clouds with the Regatta paper! Also your rough embossing fits so well with the layout.
I was pretty excited when they came out that way! I think having the little bird sketches as part of the print makes all the difference
