The Chelsea Gardens collection is available until the end of April, 2018.  You have the choice of 2 kits - one for scrapbooking and one for cards - OR you can purchase papers, complements, ribbon  and gems separately

Today I am sharing 3 cards and a layout created from the Sending Hugs Cardmaking Kit.

This is one of the 2 card designs featured in the kit.  You receive printed instructions with your kit that detail cutting, placement, stamping and embellishment information.  The kit has enough supplies to make 12 cards.

Order yours at www.shaunnarichards.closetomyheart.com.au The original design uses Heather ink for the wreath but I wanted to make it more colourful so I stamped in Sweetleaf ink.  Then I coloured the centres of each flower with the ocean watercolour pencil and blended it using the Clear Shimmer Brush.  I also added shimmer to the printed flowers and blooms on the background paper.  It is soooo pretty!  The next photos shows a bit of the sparkle.

Next up I swapped out the ink colours and used the Welcome Baby sentiment from the For You Darling stamp set.  I also used part of the border stamp that comes with the Sending Hugs kit to decorate the edges of the wreath element.

For the third variation, I made the card portrait and dropped the striped piece lower.  I used the border stamp to create my own design on the white cardstock and then used the small flower and leaves from the stamp set to create my own decorative element.

The leaves were coloured with Citrus Leaf watercolour pencil and the flowers were simply filled in using the NEW Bashful Shimmer Brush.  I used masking on my stamping and fussy cut the grouped images.

I decided to use this card design to make a layout too.  It was super easy - I just extended each piece to be 12" long.

I wanted to pick up on the pink in the photographed flowers so I used the Bashful Shimmer Brush to colour the white flowers on the floral print.  The floral wreath provide space for a title.  Pen Pal Alphabet stamps are only 1/4" high and worked perfectly for the small space.

Every layout needs journaling.  These photos were all from the same weekend but not all taken at the same time or event so I numbered the photos and bullet point journaled to give the information about them.  I wrote the wrong name for the hotel so just stuck a correction over the top of it - it's not perfect but you really don't notice it when looking at the full layout.

Shaunna these are a perfect example of how versatile our kits can be! I think I like your versions more than the originals- especially that sweet baby card and I love how you have shown an adaptation for pages as well! I have one of those kits in stock...if it doesn't sell Saturday I know what I will be doing with it ;)
