FFF Scrapbook Workshop #3 - Bold & Big Prints

Join the fun of a 3-hour in person scrapbook workshop.

This is the third in the Fast, Fun or Fancier workshop series running in conjunction with my Mission Possible Scrapbook Challenge. I joined forces with a group of experienced Demonstrators across Australia and New Zealand to create handouts showcasing one page design that could be kept simple and FAST to make, stepped up a little with a few embellishments and extra paper layouts for FUN or made FANCIER with the addition of extra embellishments, stamping, die cuts or techniques. One paper pack was used for all three layouts.

Working with big, bold printed papers can be challenging. Michelle James and Paula Simmonds show you how to use these big florals with the tone on tone prints and cardstock to compliment your photos without stealing the view.

Michelle has used an enlargement on each of her left-hand pages - a family photo, and two supporting 4” x 6” photos on the right-hand page. Her layout is perfect for those posed photos when families gather for a big event or a photo shoot. She has complimented each floral with one plain cardstock colour and one of the tone-on-tone prints from the pack. This brings out the colours in the photos. She shows you three different ways to include your journalling and your titles.

Paula has used the papers in a completely different way. The floral is a supporting act in two layouts and a focal point in the third. She has used a variety of sizes and numbers of photos on each layout, showing how the design can adapt to what you have printed. As always with Paula, it’s the small details that combine to make the cohesiveness of the overall design. You will love the way she has used the Cheerful Daisies Dies (161296) on her Fun layout and the Foursquare Decorative Masks background stencil (161285) on the Fancier layout.

I’ll teach you their tips and tricks and you choose whether your layouts will be Fast, Fun or Fancier. Bring photos and embellishments to go with the theme. You may choose to use the papers shown below or something similar you already own.
