FFF Zoom Scrapbook Workshop #4 - Repeating Shapes

Join the fun of a 3-hour Zoom scrapbook workshop.

This is the fourth in the Fast, Fun or Fancier workshop series running in conjunction with my Mission Possible Scrapbook Challenge. I joined forces with a group of experienced Demonstrators across Australia and New Zealand to create handouts showcasing one page design that could be kept simple and FAST to make, stepped up a little with a few embellishments and extra paper layouts for FUN or made FANCIER with the addition of extra embellishments, stamping, die cuts or techniques. One paper pack was used for all three layouts.

Using repeated shapes on a layout builds cohesiveness. It gives the illusion of a larger panel but doesn’t overwhelm the layout. Doreen Camilleri and Mel Brady show you two very different approaches to repeating shapes. They are easy to make when using smaller prints and create a cohesive background without having to think too hard.

Doreen has used the muted tones of the Thoughtful Journey 6x6 papers with a strong contrast colour cardstock for photo mounts. This makes the photos stand our and the papers provide the emotional response to the images. She demonstrates so embellishment clustering using the Paper Butterfly Accents (162612) and Saying Something ephemera pack (163761). Using pre-made die cuts saves so much time, as does the use of the Heartfelt Hexagon punch (162888) for the repeated shapes.

Mel has used oversize banners repeated across the layout to create a place for her photos to sit. The earthy tomes of the To Market paper pack blend so well with the colours in her photos. She shows you how to use larger images printed on papers as your embellishments - fussy cutting for the win! She has made each layout look quite different by changing the number, aspect and size of photos. This layout will work for any images you have printed.

I’ll teach you their tips and tricks and you choose whether your layouts will be Fast, Fun or Fancier. Bring photos and embellishments to go with the theme. You may choose to use the papers shown below or something similar you already own.
