FFF Zoom Scrapbook Workshop #5 - Tone on Tone Backgrounds

Join the fun of a 3-hour Zoom scrapbook workshop.

This is the fifth in the Fast, Fun or Fancier workshop series running in conjunction with my Mission Possible Scrapbook Challenge. I joined forces with a group of experienced Demonstrators across Australia and New Zealand to create handouts showcasing one page design that could be kept simple and FAST to make, stepped up a little with a few embellishments and extra paper layouts for FUN or made FANCIER with the addition of extra embellishments, stamping, die cuts or techniques. One paper pack was used for all three layouts.

Tone on tone papers are the easiest to use with your photos. They are usually in paler shades with small patterns or just a textured print. Jacqui Paech and Megan Lawrences show you two different ways to create a quick background to allow your photos to shine. They use simple cuts and cater to a variety of photo sizes and numbers.

Jacquie has used the muted tones of the Country Woods papers (163393) with co-ordinating cardstock colours for photo mounts and title blocks. She shares three ways to use circular elements from the Round We Go dies (163729) and the Seaside Wishes Hybrid Embossing Folder (163497). Jacquie’s layout works for a mix of five or six 3 x 4 photos with an optional hero 4 x 6 landscape photo.

Megan has used a full sheet from the County Lace paper pack (163415) split across two pages for a very clean layout. She has used one 5x7 portrait photo as the hero and a 6x4 portrait with three 3x4 landscape photos as the supporting act. You could easily adapt this layout to other photo sizes and numbers. Hand cut banners or tags make simple embellishments and there’s plenty of room for your story.

I’ll teach you their tips and tricks and you choose whether your layouts will be Fast, Fun or Fancier. Bring photos and embellishments to go with the theme. You may choose to use the papers shown below or something similar you already own.
