Welcome to November’s Stamp of the Month Australasian Blog Hop. This is a circular hop. If you arrived from Wendy’s Blog you are in the right place. Simply read through this post and click on the link to the next blog at the end of it. Keep reading and ‘hopping’ until you find yourself back where you started from. Each blog will showcase a project featuring the Seasonal Trees (S1811) stamp set which is November’s Stamp of the Month.

S1811 Seasonal Trees is available for purchase in November 2018 from www.shaunnarichards.closetomyheart.com.au

I adore the trees in this set but felt you would be seeing a lot of them as complete trees on this hop so decided to think outside the box.  I’ve added components of the trees to the card designs from the You Got This Workshop Your Way Card Kit (G1166).  I’ve also included sentiments from two other Workshop Your Way Card Kits – Epic Birthday (G1165) and Hugs for You (G1164)

The first four cards use Pattern 1 from You Got This Workshop Your Way Card Kit.  The last  two cards use Pattern 2.  I enjoyed decorating the envelop flaps to co-ordinate with the cards.

First up… First and second generation background stamping of leaves in Fern ink.

Create this card using G1166 You Got This WYW and S1811 Seasonal Trees. Available for purchase at www.shaunnarichards.closetomyheart.com.au

Card 2… Fern leaves stamped in Saffron ink

Create this card using G1166 You Got This WYW, G1165 Epic Birthday and S1811 Seasonal Trees. Available for purchase at www.shaunnarichards.closetomyheart.com.au

Card 3… I love this sentiment from the Hugs For You WYW kit and that little bird sitting on the letter makes me happy.  He’s from the stamp of the month.

Create this card using G1166 You Got This WYW, G1164 Hugs For You and S1811 Seasonal Trees. Available for purchase at www.shaunnarichards.closetomyheart.com.au

Card 4 is the same pattern as 1,2 & 3 but has been rotated…  The leaves are half the pine tree foliage stamp.  Just had to include the little bird again.  The saffron edge on the white panel and envelope flap is also from the stamp of the month.

Create this card using G1166 You Got This WYW, G1165 Epic Birthday and S1811 Seasonal Trees. Available for purchase at www.shaunnarichards.closetomyheart.com.au

Card 5… I had to find a way to fit the sentiment from (Hugs For You) and the tree so I overlapped them.  Still loving that bird!  So did my daughter’s cat – she jumped onto the crafting table and added a wee smudge of pomegranate ink to the card!!!  I ran out of time to re-do the panel but I suggest you make yours without the smudge (hehehe)

Card 6… This is my final sample.  The background on the white panel was made by inking just the stem of the palm tree.  The sentiment was masked, cut, layered and popped on foam tape.

Welcome to the CTMH Australasian Chelsea Gardens Blog Hop. This hop features the artwork of some amazing and talented women from across Australia. If you arrived from Maz’s blog you are in the right place. If this is your first time on a blog hop simply read on, enjoy my creations and maybe share some love in the comments. Then you click on the link at the end of this post and it will take you to the next blog and so on and so on. Easy and fun! Best part- you can see lots of different projects you can create with Close To My Heart’s Chelsea Gardens collection! When you land back here, you are done and it’s time to hit the craft room for some paperific fun.

The Chelsea Gardens collection is available until the end of April, 2018.  You have the choice of 2 kits – one for scrapbooking and one for cards – OR you can purchase papers, complements, ribbon  and gems separately

Today I am sharing 3 cards and a layout created from the Sending Hugs Cardmaking Kit.

This is one of the 2 card designs featured in the kit.  You receive printed instructions with your kit that detail cutting, placement, stamping and embellishment information.  The kit has enough supplies to make 12 cards.

The original design uses Heather ink for the wreath but I wanted to make it more colourful so I stamped in Sweetleaf ink.  Then I coloured the centres of each flower with the ocean watercolour pencil and blended it using the Clear Shimmer Brush.  I also added shimmer to the printed flowers and blooms on the background paper.  It is soooo pretty!  The next photos shows a bit of the sparkle.

Next up I swapped out the ink colours and used the Welcome Baby sentiment from the For You Darling stamp set.  I also used part of the border stamp that comes with the Sending Hugs kit to decorate the edges of the wreath element.

For the third variation, I made the card portrait and dropped the striped piece lower.  I used the border stamp to create my own design on the white cardstock and then used the small flower and leaves from the stamp set to create my own decorative element.

The leaves were coloured with Citrus Leaf watercolour pencil and the flowers were simply filled in using the NEW Bashful Shimmer Brush.  I used masking on my stamping and fussy cut the grouped images.

I decided to use this card design to make a layout too.  It was super easy – I just extended each piece to be 12″ long.

I wanted to pick up on the pink in the photographed flowers so I used the Bashful Shimmer Brush to colour the white flowers on the floral print.  The floral wreath provide space for a title.  Pen Pal Alphabet stamps are only 1/4″ high and worked perfectly for the small space.

Every layout needs journaling.  These photos were all from the same weekend but not all taken at the same time or event so I numbered the photos and bullet point journaled to give the information about them.  I wrote the wrong name for the hotel so just stuck a correction over the top of it – it’s not perfect but you really don’t notice it when looking at the full layout.

Welcome to the June Stamp of the Month Australasian Blog Hop.  This is a circular hop.  If you arrived from Nell’s Blog, you are in the right place. Simply read through this post and click on the link to the next blog at the end of it.  Keep reading and hopping until you find yourself back where you started from.  Each blog will showcase a project featuring the Hello Foxy (S1706) stamp set which is June Stamp of the Month.

S1706 Hello Foxy is CTMH's Stamp of the Month for July 2017. Order yours at www.shaunnarichards.closetomyheart.com.au

The foxes and flowers are petite so you can fit a few on a card or page border.  They all look great coloured with your favourite medium and the sentiments are fun.

The next card uses the Wood Slats embossing folder.  Once it is embossed, simply run the Desert Sands ink pad over the raised elements to create contrast.  Move the inkpad in the direction of the lines with a light touch for best results. The frolicking foxes were hand cut.  The wood panel paper is also from the No Worries paper pack.

Little Dreamer collection from Close To My Heart http://shaunnarichards.closetomyheart.com.au/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=9932&ci=8409

The Little Dreamer collection is available until the end of August 2017.  Buy it as a full kit or individual items.

When you purchase the Little Dreamer WYW Kit, you can download instructions to make 3 layouts and 6 cards (2 each of 3 designs).  You do have paper and embellishments left over.  Today I’ll share how I use the left overs along with one each of the card fronts to make 3 more layouts!  All I then had left were a few small paper scraps and stickers that I will give to a crafty little girl I know.  I have nothing to store – the whole kit is gone.  That means I can buy another collection – guilt free!!!!

These are the layouts and cards we have instructions for:

CTMH Little Dreamer Workshop Your Way layouts http://shaunnarichards.closetomyheart.com.au/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=9932&ci=84091705-se-little-dreamer-wyw-layout-021705-se-little-dreamer-wyw-layout-01CTMH Little Dreamer Collection http://shaunnarichards.closetomyheart.com.au/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=9932&ci=8409

Place layouts in this order and work on the backs of the papers.  If you look at my layouts below, the left and right pages have different background papers.  Use plain cardstock in Thistle, Glacier, Lagoon and Daisy White to blend the colours of the designs.

CTMH Little Dreamer Collection http://shaunnarichards.closetomyheart.com.au/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=9932&ci=8409

Can you spot the card front? It is layered on two of the Cut Apart PML cards that come in the pack.  Glacier Cardstock provides the mat for the enlargement.

Little Dreamer Bonus Pages - 2

The lagoon cardstock strip has been embossed with the Confetti Stars folder.  Feed the strip into the folder from both ends to create the design with more stars on the outer edges.

Little Dreamer Bonus Pages - 3

As this is the final layout, you will need a full sheet of Glacier cardstock for the base of the RH page.  Don’t the card fronts work beautifully as page embellishments?

Now, if you are wondering why there are no photos on these layouts… it’s because, after 15 years of furious scrapbooking, I have run out of photos!!!!  So, if you are one of my friends, send me some snaps to use and I will gift the pages to you when I’m finished teaching them 🙂

The Little Dreamer Collection  is available to purchase from your Close To My Heart consultant.  A list of products used in my projects appears at the end of this post.  Place your order with your Close To My Heart Consultant. Taste of Summer – Cards

Standard

I have LOVED using the Taste of Summer Papers and Stamps throughout May.  Here is your final bit of inspiration from me for the month.  Each of these cards is a little different to my usual and were lots of fun to make.

Spin cards (Z1866) are available to purchase through my website. They are 7" x 5" and come in packs of 10. The grid on the strawberry card was inspired by a fellow blogger, laurenctmhcraftings.blogspot.com.au. It uses May's Stamp of the Month, Just Sayin' .

Taste of Summer – Triangle cards

Standard

Messing around with small pieces of paper can be fun.  Once again I have dived in to the offcuts in my Taste of Summer papers (CC1038).

Card & Envelope Value Packs (50 of each for just $20) make card making super easy. I've used White Daisy (X2540) here but you can also get Colonial white (X1410) if you prefer.

I began with 1 1/2″ squares cut in half diagonally and played around until I had some patterns I liked.  I cut my Shimmer Trim in half lengthways so it is a subtle accent and then decorated with stamped fruit and captions from the Taste of Summer stamp set (CC1039).  Bitty sparkles finished the designs off.

I used Post It notes to mask off segments of the titles and I used the Rock ‘n’ Roll inking technique for the fruit.

Have a play with your scraps and see what you come up with.

Ladybird, Ladybird…

Standard

One of the things I love best about being part of Close To My Heart is the open sharing of ideas between consultants across the globe.  Today’s little card was inspired by a lady who lives in Ohio, USA.  So, thank you Bobbi Frappier Dailey!  I adore ladybirds.

Ladybugs - Page 001

The ladybirds are made using the banner stamps from the Year Noted kit.  I embossed the Cranberry card using the Hearts embossing folder and the XOXO comes from January’s Stamp of the month.  I have this card as a kit for all my lovely ladies coming to Paper Picnic workshops this week 🙂

January's Stamp of the month. This Moment, is $27 or just $5 if accompanied by a $75 order. Available only until Jan 31, 2015

Here’s one I made using next month’s stamp of the month, A Happy Hello.  I made 5 of these to give as a Secret Sister gift in Hawaii. I stamped the twig, moved it slightly and stamped again without re-inking so it would look like the branch was moving a bit as the ladybirds walked along it.
