A few weeks ago I participated in a Facebook Virtual Crop. It was lots of fun ‘cropping’ with consultants all over Australia via the internet. During the course of the weekend we were given page challenges to complete. The lovely ladies who organised the event have given permission for me to share these challenges with you! Big thanks to Bernadette Lewin, Karen Page and Lynda Yeadon. Here is the third sketch we worked from, “Circle & Banner” by Bernadette Lewin…
This is my page…
Maid of Honour was abbreviated to MOH in the lead up to the wedding.
The flower stamps are a combination of blooms from Happy Birds (C1600), Wavy Blooms (D1651) and A Budding Friendship (D1602). The papers are from Chalk It Up (X7184B)
Order your supplies at www.shaunnarichards.ctmh.com.au Every 5th online order will recieve a gift. I’ll email winners at the end of the month.
Place an order including $32.50 of stamps and you can add an exclusive Hostess Rewards set for just $6.50. Normally you would have to host a gathering to qualify for one of these stamp sets. How cool is that?
One of the things I love about being a leader with Close To My Heart is sharing in the journeys of consultants in my team. This page brings back lovely memories of a fun filled day in a wheatbelt town creating with 3 Dazzlers (my team is know as the Dazzling Duchesses) and some of their customers. Mike was my travel buddy and he spent the day editing our photos rather than page making.
I love using the Reflections How To Book to plan my pages
The room was filled with laughter as each lady created a cute card and a page layout. I enjoyed meeting new ladies and re-connecting with others. It makes me feel part of the community these ladies belong to.
This quick and easy layout was copied from 6C in the Reflections How To Book. Reflections is my go to reference whenever my creative juices aren’t flowing. I loved the clean lines of this layout. I used Chalk It Up papers.
Welcome to the April Australasian Stamp of the Month Blog Hop. If you have arrived here from Maz’s Blog , Inky Fingers you are in the right place. This is a circular hop, click through to the blog mentioned at the end of each post and you will find yourself back here. There’s a lot of inspiration and creativity shared in the cards, pages and projects created by 14 of my sister consultants using Typed Noted, Stamp of the Month (S1504). Enjoy!
This Layout is inspired by page 16 of CTMH’s ‘Cherish’ How To Book (9038)
My passion is scrapbook pages and this gorgeous stamp reminded my of typing classes at school. I don’t have photos of me at a typewriter and I couldn’t find anything I had actually typed at the time so my photos are ‘representative’ rather than actual. This page forms part of my “Book of Me” album. It’s a project I’ve been adding to for years. The first volume has the basics of my birth, family, early childhood and school but the second volume is filled with random pages like this. I like to think of them as snapshots of my past.
I love the freedom that comes with making random pages. It doesn’t matter that the events referred to are not in chronological order. The aim is to share insight into my experiences, my passions and the people who have influenced and shaped me. Something I hope my children and grandchildren will read and feel connected to in some way.
I had a lot of fun making this page and memories of typing class came flooding back. The OCD part of me LOVED speed & accuracy tests and the drills. I downloaded a font called Moms Typewriter to my computer. I found it on http://www.1001freefonts.com. Next I made up a full A4 page of typing drills like mum’s book used to teach. I printed this on to White Daisy cardstock and used it as my accent paper on the layout. I also typed my journaling in this font.
I stamped the typewriter 3 times onto White Daisy cardstock and once onto Lagoon cardstock. Each image was fussy cut as follows:
- Lagoon cut just outside the stamped image;
- White Daisy 1 – cut full image
- White Daisy 2 – cut typewriter but not paper
- White Daisy 3 – cut top section of typewriter only
Then I layered with Thin 3-D Foam Tape (Z2060) before adding it to my layout. A few Aqua Dots (Z1853) finished the page off.
Typed Note (S1504) is only available during April, 2015. Full retail price is $27 but you can have this gorgeous set for just $5 when accompanied by a $75 order. Place your order with your CTMH Consultant.
I’d love you to leave a comment for me before you move on to Wendy’s Blog, Expressions of the Heart, to see what she has designed for you.
Mike and I were so very proud of our daughter the night she graduated from the University of Western Australia. She is a beautiful person inside and out and we hope she fulfils her dream to help the lives of those less fortunate than her.
This page was a joy to make. I knew the Great Job Stamp Set (C1588) was perfect. It’s lovely swirls just feel like a celebration. I wanted the left hand page to be all about Kathryn so chose just one photo to include on it. Our ‘proud parents’ shots had to go on the facing page. The rosette, graduation cap and ‘Congrats’ stamp come from the Kudos stamp set which you get with the Artiste Cricut Collection. A few Puffies stickers from the Chalk It Up Assortment finished off the page.
I used some of the words from the ‘You’re the Bomb’ Stamp Set (C1617) within my journaling. I like having fun this way. It makes the story part of the design of the page.
This Great Job stamp set is included in the Gold registration for our Operation Smile fundraiser on March 7. I’ll have 4 more layouts to show everyone on the day.
