Then you click on the link at the end of this post and it will take you to the next blog and so on and so on. Easy and fun! G1128 Prickly Pear Workshop Kit is available for purchase from www.shaunnarichards.closetomyheart.com.au

There are 3 co-ordinating stamp sets for this kit.  This month, you can buy 2 and get the third one FREE* (For stamps only, not available for Thin Cut & Stamp bundles.  Stamp of lesser value is the free one).  I have used stamps from all three sets in the layouts I’m sharing today.

Tangerine and Sorbet cardstock look so pretty with a Sea Glass base.  The glitter strip is also Sea Glass.  The solid Oval Thin Cuts add a little interest to the border.

The second layout used up scraps of paper, cardstock and embellishments.  The block design could also work on the outer edges of the layout but I liked the focal point it created in the centre.  The starburst border stamp worked well again along with the burlap ribbon and sequins to add some texture to the design.

Each piece of the central pattern is 2″ wide.  Each vertical strip contains 2 pieces 2″ high and 2 pieces 3″ high.  The last piece is trimmed to fit the space left.  The emerald pieces will be for journaling.  I liked the idea of using “Date” and “Place” as headings for journaling when they would traditionally form part of an invitation.  The cactus was cut from printed paper but you could stamp them if you’ve used all of the print in your pack.

The Prickly Pear Collection  is available to purchase from your Close To My Heart consultant.  A list of products used in my projects appears at the end of this post.  Place your order with your Close To My Heart Consultant. If you don’t have a consultant, you can order online through my website .

Welcome to the CTMH Australasian Little Dreamer Blog Hop.  This hop features some amazing and talented women from across Australia and New Zealand.

If you arrived from  Megan’s Blog  you are in the right place.  If this is your first time on a blog hop simply read on, enjoy my creations and maybe share some love in the comments. Then you click on the link at the end of this post and it will take you to the next blog and so on and so on. Easy and fun! Little Dreamer collection from Close To My Heart http://shaunnarichards.closetomyheart.com.au/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=9932&ci=8409

The Little Dreamer collection is available until the end of August 2017.  Buy it as a full kit or individual items.

When you purchase the Little Dreamer WYW Kit, you can download instructions to make 3 layouts and 6 cards (2 each of 3 designs).  You do have paper and embellishments left over.  Today I’ll share how I use the left overs along with one each of the card fronts to make 3 more layouts!  All I then had left were a few small paper scraps and stickers that I will give to a crafty little girl I know.  I have nothing to store – the whole kit is gone.  That means I can buy another collection – guilt free!!!!

These are the layouts and cards we have instructions for:

CTMH Little Dreamer Workshop Your Way layouts http://shaunnarichards.closetomyheart.com.au/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=9932&ci=84091705-se-little-dreamer-wyw-layout-021705-se-little-dreamer-wyw-layout-01CTMH Little Dreamer Collection http://shaunnarichards.closetomyheart.com.au/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=9932&ci=8409

Place layouts in this order and work on the backs of the papers.  If you look at my layouts below, the left and right pages have different background papers.  Use plain cardstock in Thistle, Glacier, Lagoon and Daisy White to blend the colours of the designs.

CTMH Little Dreamer Collection http://shaunnarichards.closetomyheart.com.au/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=9932&ci=8409

Can you spot the card front? It is layered on two of the Cut Apart PML cards that come in the pack.  Glacier Cardstock provides the mat for the enlargement.

Little Dreamer Bonus Pages - 2

The lagoon cardstock strip has been embossed with the Confetti Stars folder.  Feed the strip into the folder from both ends to create the design with more stars on the outer edges.

Little Dreamer Bonus Pages - 3

As this is the final layout, you will need a full sheet of Glacier cardstock for the base of the RH page.  Don’t the card fronts work beautifully as page embellishments?

Now, if you are wondering why there are no photos on these layouts… it’s because, after 15 years of furious scrapbooking, I have run out of photos!!!!  So, if you are one of my friends, send me some snaps to use and I will gift the pages to you when I’m finished teaching them 🙂

The Little Dreamer Collection  is available to purchase from your Close To My Heart consultant.  A list of products used in my projects appears at the end of this post.  Place your order with your Close To My Heart Consultant. If you don’t have a consultant, you can order online through my website .

Welcome to the November Stamp of the Month Australasian Blog Hop.  This is a circular hop.  If you arrived from Maz’s Blog, you are in the right place. Simply read through this post and click on the link to the next blog at the end of it.  Keep reading and ‘hopping’ until you find yourself back where you started from.  Each blog will showcase a project featuring the New Year’s Cheer (S1611) stamp set which is November’s Stamp of the Month.

s1611

There is so much goodness on this one carrier sheet of stamps.  Party invitation details, salutations for cards, that girlie bow  (super cute for pages and cards) and my favourites, the two lovely glasses with the little bubbles!

s1611-new-years-cheer-layout

I meet with 2 of my gorgeous friends once a month to spend the day scrapbooking together. The person hosting provides lunch and champagne.  The day has become known to us as “Bubbles Day”.  I am on a mission to record some of the regular everyday things I do in my ‘Book of Me’ Album.  This layout will celebrate our friendship and how much we love this monthly catch up.

s1611-new-years-cheer-layout-page-001

To create the title use the flag and bow stamps.  These were cut using the Cricut Flower Market cartridge but they are simple shapes easily cut by hand.  The font is also from Flower Market.  The papers used on the layout are scraps left over from creating the City Sidewalks Workshop Your Way (G1114) layouts and cards.  How cool that they don’t look Christmassy at all here.

s1611-new-years-cheer-layout-page-003

Working on a Sapphire cardstock background meant a journal box was needed.  Rather than a solid box, these strips provide enough room for a couple of lines each and the bows act as bullet points.

s1611-new-years-cheer-layout-page-002

The champagne flutes were stamped using Lagoon ink (Z2895)on Lagoon cardstock.  The Shimmer Brush (Z3293) was perfect to ‘fill’ the glasses and looks really fun in real life.

You will find a list of the products used on the layout at the end of this post.

New Year’s Cheer (S1611) is only available during November, 2016.  Full retail price is $27 but you can have this gorgeous set for just $7.50 when accompanied by a $75 order. Place your order with your Close To My Heart Consultant.

I completed the 3 layouts following the instructions for the kit (which you can download from your Consultant’s website).  If you don’t have a consultant you can click here for my website.

Using the leftover papers and embellishments I created 2 extra double page layouts.  Once these were done, I only had a few scraps left and they were tossed in the bin.  How fabulous is it to use EVERYTHING in a collection – no storage required.

swan-lake-layouts-page-002

The title is created using the Swan Lake Complements. (X7212C)  All the flowers were created with the Thankful for You thin cuts and stamps bundle (Z4007).  The flowers vary in sizes and can be layered.  A photo will cover the swans cut apart card, just leaving a thin border of sapphire showing.  The narrow strips of light blue paper are zip strips cut in half.

My second layout used the last of the complements and a few more stamped flowers. Both these pages will feature photos of my lovely mum with her carers.  They make her very happy and I want to acknowledge their role in her life, in her album.  Here are some close ups from each page.

Taste of Summer – Christmas Pages

Standard

A Christmas page without a Christmas print?  I love this fun layout of our breakfast in the park on Christmas morning.  It’s another layout I made using leftovers from my Taste of Summer paper pack.

The Taste of Summer (CC1038) papers were perfect for our breakfast in the park on Christmas morning

The Taste of Summer (CC1038) papers were perfect for our breakfast in the park on Christmas morning

The red frame is made of 2″ strips with corners mitred.  I used the yellow 1/4″ Washi Tape from the Carnival pack (Z3067) to give the illusion of a layer of yellow paper.

The border strip is 1 1/2

The strawberry border strip is 1 1/2″ wide with 1/2″ strip of yellow centred on it. I folded and cut the yellow to create bows and added a splash of green for the extra ribbons.

I used May's Stamp of the Month, 'Just Sayin' to create my flags. I stamped in Hollyhock ink onto the yellow and green printed papers. The strawberries were cut from one of the zip strips in the pack.

Taste of Summer – Debs & Duchies

Standard

This layout gave me the opportunity to use up lots of the scraps from my Taste Of Summer papers (CC1038).

Group shots featuring a large number of people deserve being enlarged - especially when it's a dress up shot and we want to honour the creations everyone took time to put together.

I began with a Cricut overlay from the Artbooking Cartridge. I cut an 11" square overlay and trimmed it down to fit the space.

I began with a Cricut overlay from the Artbooking Cartridge. I cut an 11″ square overlay and trimmed it down to fit the space. Then I added a bit to the side to make it cover the 12″ width of the page

I randomly punched circles from all my scraps and placed them face down on the back of the overlay. My goal was to have no adjoining spaces covered in the same paper. It was quite easy because there are 6 designs in the Taste of Summer pack. I glued all of these in place with my Bonding Memories glue.

My journaling box was a 3" x4" piece of white cardstock with a strip of scrap paper down the side and a strip of 1/4 Boardwalk Washi tape(Z3066). The Wavy Blooms (D1651) flowers were stamped on white daisy and fusty cut.

The page was finished off with the Lemons Zip strip from one of the papers and a Cricut cut title.  I made the title in Cricut Craftroom so I could weld the letters together.

Australasian January 2015 Stamp of the Month Blog Hop S1501 This Moment

Standard

Blog BadgeWelcome to the January Australasian Stamp of the Month Blog Hop.  If you have arrived here from  Denise’s Blog, Scrap, Stamp, Share, you are in the right place. This is a circular hop, click through to the blog mentioned at the end of each post and you will find yourself back here.  There’s a lot of love shared in the cards, pages and projects created by my sister consultants using the This Moment Stamp of the Month (S1501). Enjoy!

This Moment

The two ‘hero’ stamps for me  on this sheet are the target and the XOXO.  I can see me using them over and over on pages and cards.  My layout today features photos of a quilt I made for my daughter.  It was a labour of love so this stamp set was perfect for the pages.

This Moment Page

I began by cutting several circles of various sizes (2.25″, 2″ and 1.75″) in plain cardstock and stamped each with the target using Black Archival  ink (44751) .  Don’t panic if your target is not perfectly centred on the circle – none of mine are and it is just fine.  The spools of thread and scissors were cut using the Artiste Cartridge (Z1790) on my Cricut.  You will find them on page 41.  The Hearts photo mat is from page 66 of the Artiste cartridge.

This Moment - Page 001

I love the large heart stamp that comes with the Heartstrings Workshop on the Go  (G1090) and used this for my journaling boxes.  A sprinkling of Puffies stickers finished the page off nicely.  I’ve used Stuck on You Puffies (Z3037) and Junebug Puffies (Z3038)

This Moment (S1501) is only available during January, 2015.  Full retail price is $27 but you can have this gorgeous set for just $5 when accompanied by a $75 order.

I’d love you to leave a comment before you move on to Jenny’s BlogThe Creative Heart, to see what she has designed for you.

Keep Smiling,

Shaunna
