Seas the Day – Scrapbook Subscription

I have chosen to work with this month’s Craft with Heart Scrapbook subscription pages.  The two layouts were perfect for the next lot of photos on my list to scrapbook.  If you haven’t seen these kits before, let me share a little about them.

The kits come with pre-printed pages and pre-cut elements such as photo mats and die-cuts, along with stickers, for two, 12×12 layouts.  You receive a full colour handout showing one way to use each design.  They don’t always exactly match the collection but they go with the theme.

Three ways to use the kits

  1. Copy exactly from the handout – this is the fastest scrapbooking you will ever do.  Don’t overthink it, just find photos to match the sizes on the layout and stick them down.  This is perfect for those times you are in a creative funk or you are short on time.
  2. Follow the basic layout but tweak it to suit your photos and story.  It’s super easy to adjust photo placement or make room for a longer story by changing the placement of elements on the layout.  Both of my layouts are examples of this.
  3. Take the elements, add some goodies from your stash and create a unique layout of your own.  This is lots of fun if you have some special photos that you want to really pop on the page.

Tell your Covid-19 stories

We are living through an historic time, be sure to write about how you feel as your life is impacted.  This layout reminds me that I still begin each day joyfully – it just has to last me all day as there are no other fun outings on offer .

Subscribe this month

The Seas the Day Craft With Heart layouts are available until the end of April 2020.   Enrol for a subscription through your Close To My Heart consultant’s website.  You can choose to receive your kits monthly or 4-monthly.  The best value comes when you sign up for a full year.

May 1 brings a new set of kits which I know you will love.

The bright colours in this collection perfectly complement beach photos. The workshop kit comes with alphabet stickers. They made a quick and easy title for the layout.

On this one, I random stamped the cute cocktail glass from the Summer Fun Paper Doll stamp, added Clear Shimmer to the liquid, coloured the lemon and added a shadow to each glass with Shin Han marker. I freehand cut the sun from the second PML and inked it with a Lemon ink pad then layered it over the first PML using Thin 3D Dots.

Best part- you can see lots of different projects you can create with Close To My Heart’s Postcard Perfect collection! When you land back here, you are done and it’s time to hit the craft room for some paperific fun.

The Postcard Perfect collection is an exclusive one just for National Scrapbook Month.  It is available for purchase during May 2018 – get in quick before it sells out!

Today I am sharing a layout created from Pattern 24 in Make It From Your Heart, Vol 3.

The Postcard Perfect collection is available May 2018, celebrating CTMH National Scrapbook Month. Order yours at www.shaunnarichards.closetomyheart.com.au

The LH side of the first page is a plain piece of paper in the pattern.  I decided to jazz it up a bit using off cuts I have left from other projects with this pack.  The panel is 6″ wide.  My strips vary in height between 3/4″ and 1 1/4″.  Just play with your scraps until you get a design that is pleasing to your eye.

The background paper is made by laying the spotted vellum over the Mint green cardstock which comes in the Postcard Perfect co-ordinating cardstock pack.  I love how the vellum softens the mint colour and adds texture.  Hide your adhesive behind the dots.

The decorative elements for this embellishment cluster came from the cut-apart sheet in the Postcard Perfect paper pack, the May Stamp of the Month, Classic Summer Bash and retired dots from Chelsea Gardens.  The ‘Eat, Drink, Barbecue’ sentiment mad a perfect title for this layout.

This cluster was made by stamping flowers and leaves from the Postcard Perfect stamp set onto white cardstock.  I then fussy cut and added shimmer brush to the flower centres.  Blush Shimmer Ribbon tied in nicely with the colours of this collection too.  The stamp of the month provided “Location, Date & Time” stamps.

If you love this collection make sure you order it from your consultant ASAP. It is only available until the end of this month. Don’t have a CTMH consultant? Head over to my website to place an order for delivery within Australia.
