All a-flutter

I have been having the BEST fun in my cropping room this week preparing for National Scrapbook Day.  NSD is all about you – time out with friends, celebrating life’s adventures! Stay true to your own scrapbooking style while you let your creative spirit take flight.  This year's theme is "Free to be me".     My event is a full day crop in Perth on May 17th for all my lovely customers and their friends.  Your registration includes a full colour handout, lots of gifts, morning tea, lunch and loads of inspiration.  If you need details, just email shaunnarichards@bigpond.com



The feathers you can see on this page are actually a stamp set.  It's called... you guessed it, Feathers! (C1584) Take a look at it here.  I've teamed it up with another stamp set, Flight of arrows (D1578) to make the card shown below.  Imagine this as a longer strip and you have a perfect page border.  I think these two stamp sets are must haves in your box of tricks - you will find so many ways to use them I'm sure.



Before I joined Close To My Heart I hardly ever stamped.  I have learnt so many cool techniques to use with my stamps and I LOVE it in my albums.  I can have an embellishment in ANY colour I want and unlike stickers, I NEVER run out of my favourites.  If you haven't given it a go, National Scrapbook Day is a good time to try - I promise your pages & cards will look awesome.
