Today I am sharing a layout created from Pattern 24 in Make It From Your Heart, Vol 3.



The LH side of the first page is a plain piece of paper in the pattern.  I decided to jazz it up a bit using off cuts I have left from other projects with this pack.  The panel is 6" wide.  My strips vary in height between 3/4" and 1 1/4".  Just play with your scraps until you get a design that is pleasing to your eye.

 

The background paper is made by laying the spotted vellum over the Mint green cardstock which comes in the Postcard Perfect co-ordinating cardstock pack.  I love how the vellum softens the mint colour and adds texture.  Hide your adhesive behind the dots.



The decorative elements for this embellishment cluster came from the cut-apart sheet in the Postcard Perfect paper pack, the May Stamp of the Month, Classic Summer Bash and retired dots from Chelsea Gardens.  The 'Eat, Drink, Barbecue' sentiment mad a perfect title for this layout.

This cluster was made by stamping flowers and leaves from the Postcard Perfect stamp set onto white cardstock.  I then fussy cut and added shimmer brush to the flower centres.  Blush Shimmer Ribbon tied in nicely with the colours of this collection too.  The stamp of the month provided "Location, Date & Time" stamps.
