S1904 Love So Sweet CTMH Stamp of the Month Australasian Blog Hop
Welcome to the Stamp of the Month Australasian Blog Hop. This is a circular hop. If you arrived from Doris's Blog, you are in the right place. Simply read through this post and click on the link to the next blog at the end of it. Keep reading and ‘hopping’ until you find yourself back where you started from. Each blog will showcase a project featuring the Love So Sweet (S1904) stamp set which is April’s Stamp of the Month.
How pretty do those flowers look? The sentiments are great for scrapbookers and cardmakers.
Today I have a one page layout for you. It’s based on one of the designs in the Feels Like Home Deluxe Workshop Your Way Kit. These photos were taken at Alhambra, Granada last year. Don't you just love that bench seat that was made to fit the slope of the walkway?
Making the page was quick. I followed the pattern in the Feels Like Home Deluxe Workshop Kit for the base design and then added photo mats to suit my image sizes. I had an idea for the embellishment clusters but wasn't sure the stamp proportions would work. By laying the stamps face down over the layout I got a feel for how it would turn out.
The two stitched square mounts were cut from the inside of the middle thin cuts in the Stitched Square set.
Did you know Sugarplum ink comes in a pigment version too? That means you can use heat embossing powders with it. It covers well on coloured cardstock - it is stamped on Fern in the photo above and Charcoal in the photo below. All images are heat embossed with clear powder.
The 3 leafy branches are different shades of green. One is stamped with Fern ink on the light side of Fern cardstock, one on the dark side and the middle one is stamped with versamark ink on the light side and heat embossed with clear powder. These subtle colour variations are seen in nature. A few White dots, complements stickers and leaves from the cut apart sheet in the pack completed this cluster.
It's easy to confuse Pigment and Dye based inks so always mark your pigment inks clearly to avoid using the wrong ink on a project.
Love So Sweet (S1904) is only available during April, 2019. Full retail price is $29.50 but you can have this gorgeous set for just $8.25 when accompanied by an $82.50 order. Place your order with your Close To My Heart Consultant.
