S2110 Wildflower Friendship Blog Hop

Two of my favourite things combine in this stamp set – animals and flowers.  These critters carry their bouquets on their bodies – pretty clever, aren’t they?

Take a shortcut for your colouring

This card is no fuss and quick to create.  By stamping on Toffee coloured cardstock I didn’t have to colour the owl.  Next I grabbed my Metallic Markers and added some dabs of colour to just a few of the flowers and leaves.  The lovely sheen of these markers gives a little pop which is echoed in the Mocha Glitter Paper.

Create an interactive card for someone special

This card takes a little more work but is way simpler than you might think.  It folds flat to fit in a standard 4 ¼” x 5 ½” envelope and then the centre panel slides up to reveal your image AND make a stand! 

The base is made from a 4 ¼” x 11” piece of cardstock scored at 1”, 2 ¾”, 3 ¾”, 5 ½”, 7 ¼”, 8 ¼” and 10”.  Then cut a 3” slit in the centre of the 5 ½” fold line.

The pop up panel is 3” x 5 ½” and is sandwiched between the 1” folds on the base piece and slides up through the silt you cut.

Be sure to keep your decorations completely flat on the pop up panel.
