Sawyer Blog Hop

 Enjoy the variety of muted colours and simple designs in this gorgeous collection. Sawyer is one of those collections you will love for a long time.  It is so adaptable for many photo themes.  My layout is about swimming today.

Draw inspiration from cut above kits

This layout is based on one of October 2021’s layouts in the Make It From Your Heart Subscription.  I loved the strong colours Close To My Heart used on the original design but knew it would translate beautifully to the Sawyer palette too.

I simply pulled out the original pages and measured the pieces.  I traced around household items for the circles and drew the bracket pieces free hand then fussy cut.

The original design used patterned paper for the circles.  I wanted a pop of Sundance and only had cardstock in that colour.  An easy solution was tone on tone stamping using the Perfectly Imperfect (D2051) stamp set to create a textured pattern.

Dress your scrapbook page up with stickers and die cuts. 

It is so quick and easy to add embellishments when you are working with a featured collection.  You never have to worry about the colours matching because they ALL do! Just find the stickers or die cuts that suit your photo theme and away you go.

Once the layout was complete, I added stickles to the flower centres and butterfly bodies and then used liquid pearls to decorate the butterfly wings.  These little bottles of shininess are so clean and easy to use.

A couple of stamped titles and spatters  and it was done.
