Paper Fundamentals - Tiger Tom

sept-2-pages-page-007
The paper fundamentals are so easy to use!  If you haven't tried them yet, I'd encourage you to get your hands on some.  One side of the paper is shiny with an embossed pattern on it and the reverse is matte, features the same pattern, but adds white to it.

If you like scrapbooking with solid colours you will love the subtle patterns of these packs.

Enchantment Fundamentals - Up Page

One of the things I love most about being a consultant with Close To My Heart is the amazing support I am offered for my business.  I rarely have to come up with an original idea to share in my classes.  Today's page was one we were given at our recent Convention.  I completed it over the weekend. (Note re the photo...Mike has taught me well, sometimes you have to lay on the floor to get the perfect shot!) Up page This paper pack is part of the bundle on special this month.  It's an absolute bargain.  …

White Pines - Trim the Tree

sept-2-pages-page-007
If you are a regular reader of this blog, you know I LOVE Flip Flaps!  Today I have a super cute way to display photos of some of the decorations you use at Christmas time.

Trim the Tree Flip Flap Page I'm not happy with the centre bottom photo but have to wait until Dec 25 to re-shoot it :)

All the Flip Flaps come from the Small Assortment pack (Z1747).  They are attached to the OUTSIDE of the page protector.  Begin at the bottom and work your way up.  I found the easiest way to do this was to place the empty page protector…

Make It From Your Heart

I attended Close To My Heart's annual convention last weekend.  It was such a happy and information packed weekend.  I'll share highlights over the coming weeks but today I wanted to show you the prize winning layout made!

All consultants attending the event were invited to enter this page layout contest.  Our brief was to use products from our current range and include the phrase "Make it from your heart" in the title.

With Spring well and truly sprung my gorgeous hubby has been busy in the garde…

Sangria - The back story to a photo

sept-2-pages-page-007

As always with old photos, there is a back story not immediately obvious on first viewing of the photo.  When I found the photo on the left hand page I just thought it was a happy family snap of mum's relatives and then I realised the significance of it.  This was the last photo taken before mum embarked on a full day's journey to join dad in New Guinea.  She must have been filled with mixed emotions leaving Melbourne for the first time to go to some wild place! She really was the adventurous o…

Sangria - Perfect for Black & White photos

sept-2-pages-page-007
I've been working with more of Mum & Dad's old photos recently.  I can't believe how gorgeous they look with the Sangria papers.

Sangria CollectionThis is my take one of the layouts I taught at yesterday's Scrap Happy Class. It's a great layout for old photos because I didn't have to crop them - the background tells us so much about where we lived at the time. The layout also provides LOTS of room for journalling.

These photos were taken in Wau, New Guinea.  I have not had an opportunity to visit again since leavin…
