I share a love of paper, stickers, bling, inks and stamps with card makers and album makers. We are often all creating in the same room at a workshop.
One of the things I love to do for my customers is offer the opportunity to try new products via a Make and Take project. I'm always in a dilemma about whether the project should be a card or a page border.
So, I put my thinking cap on and found a way to make something everyone can use! It's called a Carborder. We begin with a 4" strip of cardsto…
Beginning today, I will post a Word of the Dayon my Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/PassionateAboutPages
Your challenge is to use that word as the inspiration for a page or a card. You can make a literal interpretation or be a bit creative!
For instance, if the word was 'Dog' you may include photos of your dog, a stamp of a dog, use a doggy pun in your title or put photos of Yoga on the page! (Downward dog is everyone's favourite pose)
I happened to glance down at the Ice Cream cone stamp on my work table one day when the stamp was upside down. All of a sudden all I could see was a clown's head - the ice-cream had gone!
All my ladies at Saturday's Paper Picnic loved these cuties so much I thought I'd share the 'How To' with all of you.
Turn the ice cream cone upside down and make a clown. CTMH June SOTM 'Ice Cream Dream' S1507 is so versatile!
Stamp 2 Ice Cream cones in Pixie ink on white daisy cardstock.
I have LOVED using the Taste of Summer Papers and Stamps throughout May. Here is your final bit of inspiration from me for the month. Each of these cards is a little different to my usual and were lots of fun to make.
Spin cards (Z1866) are available to purchase through my website. They are 7" x 5" and come in packs of 10. The grid on the strawberry card was inspired by a fellow blogger, laurenctmhcraftings.blogspot.com.au. It uses May's Stamp of the Month, Just Sayin' .
Messing around with small pieces of paper can be fun. Once again I have dived in to the offcuts in my Taste of Summer papers (CC1038).
Card & Envelope Value Packs (50 of each for just $20) make card making super easy. I've used White Daisy (X2540) here but you can also get Colonial White (X1410) if you prefer.
I began with 1 1/2" squares cut in half diagonally and played around until I had some patterns I liked. I cut my Shimmer Trim in half lengthways so it is a subtle accent and then decorate…
Here's a quick card to make. It took me less than 15 minutes to create it. I used the Capture the Day Stamp Set (A1165)
Begin by creating a circular mask from a Post-It Note
Next, stamp lots of butterflies in 3 different colours around and over the mask. Stamp one extra butterfly on some scrap paper and cut this out. Use your daubers to 'colour' this single butterfly.
Remove the mask and add the sentiment and finish off with the single butterfly mounted on foam tape. Add a mount of patterned p…
One of the things I love best about being part of Close To My Heart is the open sharing of ideas between consultants across the globe. Today's little card was inspired by a lady who lives in Ohio, USA. So, thank you Bobbi Frappier Dailey! I adore ladybirds.
The ladybirds are made using the banner stamps from the Year Noted kit. I embossed the Cranberry card using the Hearts embossing folder and the XOXO comes from January's Stamp of the month. I have this card as a kit for all my lovely lad…
As mentioned yesterday, I made a couple of cards with the gorgeous Year Noted kit. This kit is only available during January 2015. It's just $10 with a $75 order. The kit includes a C-size stamp set, gold foil stickers, cardstocks, and B&T Duos™ papers, valued at $37. You can also add a Mini album for just $5 more - that's $52 value for just $15!
This card was quick and easy. I used the arrow stamps from the Year Noted Stamp set for the background and the semi-circle banner. The Scallop Bo…
Today I'd like to share the work of 3 of my customers. They spent the day at our Paper Picnic on Saturday making cards. I was so impressed I just had to share with you all.
These Christmas cards were created by Sue Kennedy using her trusty Cricut and lots of Glitter Paper. I love the simplicity of the cards - letting the shimmery goodness of the paper do all the work. One technique Sue tried was stamping in Black Archival Ink onto the Glitter Paper - doesn't it look great? Glitter Paper is a…
I know as super women, balancing work and family, we are also supposed to be organised well in advance for Christmas... BUT I know the reality of life means this doesn't always happen. As a paper crafter you know the value of hand made. Today I'm sharing a little hand made card that can be whipped up in a few minutes.
These two cards were made in a few minutes before breakfast! Here's what you need on hand for card emergencies...
