Taste of Summer - Cards

sept-2-pages-page-007
I have LOVED using the Taste of Summer Papers and Stamps throughout May.  Here is your final bit of inspiration from me for the month.  Each of these cards is a little different to my usual and were lots of fun to make.

Spin cards (Z1866) are available to purchase through my website. They are 7" x 5" and come in packs of 10. The grid on the strawberry card was inspired by a fellow blogger, laurenctmhcraftings.blogspot.com.au. It uses May's Stamp of the Month, Just Sayin' . Taste of Summer - Christmas Pages

sept-2-pages-page-007
A Christmas page without a Christmas print?  I love this fun layout of our breakfast in the park on Christmas morning.  It's another layout I made using leftovers from my Taste of Summer paper pack.

The red frame is made of 2" strips with corners mitred.  I used the yellow 1/4" Washi Tape from the Carnival pack (Z3067) to give the illusion of a layer of yellow paper.

I love my customers!  Our annual Duchess Retreat is my opportunity to spoil them with inspiration, time to work on albums, no cooking, no cleaning, lots of girl time and some prezzies.  My sister is my straight man, side kick, go to girl and gopher throughout the weekend.

Over the course of the weekend customers and consultants 'work' together: We laugh til our jaws hurt - usually over silly little things. We help each other out - teaching scrapping tricks we've learnt alo…

Taste of Summer - Triangle cards

sept-2-pages-page-007
Messing around with small pieces of paper can be fun.  Once again I have dived in to the offcuts in my Taste of Summer papers (CC1038).

Card & Envelope Value Packs (50 of each for just $20) make card making super easy. I've used White Daisy (X2540) here but you can also get Colonial white (X1410) if you prefer. I began with 1 1/2" squares cut in half diagonally and played around until I had some patterns I liked.  I cut my Shimmer Trim in half lengthways so it is a subtle accent and then decorate…

Taste of Summer - Debs & Duchies

sept-2-pages-page-007
This layout gave me the opportunity to use up lots of the scraps from my Taste Of Summer papers (CC1038).

Group shots featuring a large number of people deserve being enlarged - especially when it's a dress up shot and we want to honour the creations everyone took time to put together. I began with a Cricut overlay from the Artbooking Cartridge. I cut an 11" square overlay and trimmed it down to fit the space. I began with a Cricut overlay from the Artbooking Cartridge. I randomly punched circles from all my scraps and placed them face down on the back of the overlay. My goal was to have no adjoining spaces covered in the same paper. It was quite easy because there are 6 designs in the Taste of Summer pack. I glued all of these in place with my Bonding Memories glue. I randomly p…

A Splash of Mum and a Dash of Dad

sept-2-pages-page-007

Today's pages come out of the vault.  They were made 9 years ago but the words hold true today.  Yesterday being Mother's Day, my daughter posted a link on Facebook about how she will become like me as she grows older.  It got me thinking how similar we are and how like her grandmother she is too.  Then I remembered these pages. These are 2 more pages from my Book of Me album.  I want future generations to know the character traits that run in our family.

If you are having trouble getting started just ask your family for suggestions of how you are like your parents. If you are having trouble getting start…

The Taste of Summer Papers are so bright and cheerful I just had to use them with my photos from this year's Duchess Retreat.  Friday night is 'Frock Night' at the 'Duchess Do' and this year we had some awesome frocks on display.  Op shops were scoured, Nanna's closet was raided and some even found their outfits lurking in their own wardrobes!!!

I felt I needed to honour each of our Debutantes and Duchies by displaying individual photos.
